I just added the second installment in Digital Cameras 101. So far we’ve just covered the really basic stuff. Turning the camera on, taking a picture, and getting it onto your computer. I also touched on a few other simple points like focusing and flash and zoom. Don’t worry if this is too simplistic to you, there’s plenty more to come. I think the next chapter (coming probably tomorrow) will be a little basic theory, just because you need that to discuss the rest of the topics, but don’t worry, there’s no equations and no test — just simple ideas you already understand but just haven’t applied yet.

Okie dokie, down to business now. This is my blog about photography and related subjects. And maybe some unrelated subjects. In addition to just blogging, I’m going to be using this page for various informative articles, starting with “Digital Cameras 101.” This will be a very basic and very generic introduction to photography using digital cameras. Nothing too deep, nothing specific to any one camera or even brand, just some basic introductory material.
What’s next? Well, I’d like you to help me decide that. Is there something about photography you’d like to know more about? Do you have specific questions? Drop me a note! I’ll try to answer any specific questions and will happily consider all ideas for future articles. I want this to be a dynamic and interactive blog, but I can’t do that by myself.
